The National Business League

Founded by Dr. Booker T. Washington – August 23, 1900

The National Business League (NBL), founded by Booker T. Washington, is a membership organization that supports and empowers Black-owned businesses. Here is an outline of the NBL membership platform:

The National Business League Membership

The National Business League offers eight (8) membership categories to local city and student business league chapters: Community, Student, Professional, Business Enterprise, International Business Enterprise, Organization, International Organization, and Corporation.

City Business League Chapters (FREE)

The National Business League, with an annual membership, automatically assigns member categories based on zip code and area of domicile (incorporation). Membership in the City Business League chapter is free once the annual national membership has been collected.

Student Business League Chapters (FREE)
The National Business League, with an annual membership, automatically assigns students to the HBCU Student Business League chapter based on enrollment and campus address. Membership in the Student Business League chapter is free once the national membership has been collected.

Note: City Business League and Student Business League chapters serve as the entry points into The National Business League’s global organization. Each chapter serves as the volunteer training, resource, and programmatic arm of the national organization.

Note: The National Business League is a 501(c)(6) organization. The National Business League tax ID is 53-0045720. Payments to the National Business League are not tax-deductible as charitable contributions. The National Business League does not solicit or accept funds earmarked for political purposes.
