About The NBL
Welcome to the National Business League (NBL) – the first and largest, independent, not-for-profit trade association for Black-owned businesses and professionals in the United States of America. Founded by Dr. Booker T. Washington on August 23, 1900, the NBL has been a driving force in the economic development, empowerment, and liberative freedom of Black businesses.
Inspired by his vision, we strive to empower Black entrepreneurs, recognizing their vital role in building strong leaders, families, communities, and sustainable enterprises.
Our aim is to create an environment where Black-owned businesses can thrive and contribute to the economic growth of the nation.
The program is a blend of knowledge transfer, mentoring, and corporate access that is unique among similar programs across the country.
